Chairman of the Board

Dr. Sait Cemal Turek (Yonca Food Chairman of the Board) 

Dr. Sait Turek was born in Manisa in 1961. While attending secondary school and during high school education he was helping his father Hasan Türek (founder of Yonca) in his business life. Then he graduated from Ege University’s Medical Faculty and Türek worked as a medical doctor between 1984-1988 during his compulsory service and military service.

In 1988, he began to work at “Ege Yag AS”, a family business. In 1989, he established Tur Gida company and the company started to produce tomato paste and exported tomato products. “Tur Gida” presented the natural flavor of tomatoes to the global market in 1994 under the “Manisa Gida Sanayi “company and located its facility in the Karaağaçlı Town of Manisa in order to meet the increasing demands of high quality productions. In 1997, Türek bought “Evin Konservecilik” company to expand its product range. In 2000, it gathered all its production activities in a single hub, which is located in the Karaagacli Town, as “Manisa Gida Konservecilik Sanayi AS” at Karaagacli Isletmeleri Food Complex.

In 2010, Yonca Food reached to top of the pickle production capacity in Turkey, after including Saruhan Canned Food Facilities which is located in Saruhanlı Town of Manisa.

In 2001, Dr. Sait Turek has taken over the Yonca Food Chairman of the Board duty from Honorary Chairman and Founder Hasan Türek. Besides his Yonca Food duty, Dr. Sait Turek is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Manisa Industrial Park (MOSB), since he was assigned in 2008. Dr. Sait Turek is married and has three children, one daughter and two sons.
